Summa announces wide-format additions to F Series Vantage cutter range

Summa has announced the expansion of its F Series Vantage platform into wide-format production environments with the introduction of the F1832, F3220, and F3232 flatbed cutters.

The F1832 model offers long-format cutting in a single feed, with the F3220 focusing on soft signage production with steady control. The F3232, meanwhile, is chiefly built for double-sheet production.

Alongside the new wide-format models, Summa has also introduced the F1625CF, a dedicated configuration optimised for dry carbon fibre cutting.

The manufacturer of cutting solutions has launched the new F Series Vantage models with the goal of delivering productivity gains across the entire cutting workflow, with the new cutters designed for applications including high-volume signage, packaging, textile, and industrial applications.

The F Series Vantage combines a range of automation features with simplified interfaces and an optimised tool library designed to minimise human error. According to Summa, these elements can offer productivity gains of more than 40% in comparison to previous-generation flatbed cutters.

The Vantage platform is also designed with high performance in mind, offering 200N vertical and horizontal cutting force, as well as a 3.7kW router running at calculated maximum speeds of 60,000rpm with acceleration of up to 1G.

The F Series Vantage embraces a modular and open approach powered by Summa’s GoConnect software, featuring a universal API architecture that allows customers to integrate the automation technologies that best fit their business.

These technologies can range from connecting a foot pedal, a robotic loading system, vision technology, or advanced production machinery, allowing customers to have the freedom to design and evolve their workflow.

As Stijn Henderickx, chief executive officer of Summa, says: “Production is no longer defined by speed alone. What matters is how quickly you can move from one completed job to the next.”

The new platform architecture also focuses heavily on serviceability, with improved accessibility enabling faster maintenance interventions and simplifying routine service tasks and component replacement.

The F Series Vantage offers a broad tool library, ranging from kiss-cutting precision tools to what Summa has labelled “the strongest router in flatbed cutting.”

Geert Pierloot, managing director at Summa, says: “Cutting delivers higher throughput, cleaner edges, and lower operational costs. Only when materials demand it should operators step up to routing. This approach enables customers to consistently achieve the optimal balance between speed, quality, and productivity.”
