Gary Peeling of Where The Trade Buys, a company that successfully migrated online after many years of trading without the internet

Where The Trade Buys

How did Where The Trade Buys start off?

Where The Trade Buys started life online in 2010, after trading offline for a number of years. We manufacture thousands of orders everyday using the latest technology to produce fast, integrated print services for customers across the UK.

You cater for print and wide-format signage with banners etc, how does catering for two industries benefit your company?

It’s extremely beneficial! For example, customers coming to us for their flyer or leaflet needs will discover our expansive range of products, and a single item sale quickly multiplies. By offering both small and wide format products in a one stop shop, customers have all their print needs under one roof.

Does Where The Trade Buys have any plans to expand in the future?

Absolutely, we’re always looking for ways to expand our offerings, whether it be products or services! We recently launched a collaborative version of our website, allowing customers to custom brand our store front with their own logo and domain. This allows print resellers the ability to set their own prices whilst still using Where The Trade Buys production capabilities and white label delivery services.

What are your goals for the end of this year and into 2019?

We’re currently expanding our ever growing product catalogue. We recently launched our Christmas range, including Advent Calendars and Christmas Crackers which proved extremely popular last year. Once the festive season passes, we’ll be focusing on broadening our wide-format offerings with products such as Fence Banners and Abri Posters.

Are there any new products relating to the sign industry that make you genuinely excited?

Where The Trade Buys recently exhibited at The Print Show and had a chance to nose the latest HP Latex R2000 machine. We came away seriously impressed by the machine’s hybrid nature and the ability to produce both flexible and rigid substrates on a single machine. We’re always excited to see the boundaries of machinery being pushed and something we’ll be watching closely.

What is your best-selling product (relating to the sign and wide-format industry) and how has it been so successful?

Without a doubt our range of PVC Banners. They provide an effective and professional way to get noticed quickly. The extremely affordable price point allow even the smallest of businesses startups the ability to achieve their marketing goals without breaking the bank.
