Deadline for UK Graphic Awards closes in

The awards ceremony that celebrates wide-format print is gearing up for its 2022 celebration

Returning for its second year, the UK Graphic Awards has announced details for its award ceremony later in the year, including dates, sponsors, and information on how to enter.

The ceremony acts as an opportunity for companies and individuals from across the print and signage industries to come together and commemorate work from over the past year.

Businesses have until July 15th to enter for free on the UK Graphic Award website before the event which will take place on October 5th at the Hilton Manchester Deansgate.

A number of new awards will debut this year, offering companies in construction and the large-format space, more ways to showcase their projects than before.

The ‘Best Construction Graphics’ and ‘Printed Signage’ categories will award businesses for work such as hoardings, building wraps, and marketing suites, as well as wayfinding, advertising, and temporary signage.

This event is a great networking opportunity with industry leaders who are like-minded in their approach to the market in terms of sustainability and quality.

Other categories include ‘Wide-format Print Company of the Year: under 30 employees’, the ‘Green Award’, ‘Rising Star’, ‘Retail: Windows’, ‘Branded Interiors’, and ‘Printed Vehicle Wrap’.

With many award ceremonies postponed or disrupted after the pandemic, the UK Graphic Awards will give businesses a unique chance to network, celebrate, and learn with one another.

Mark P Mashiter, managing director of Soyang Europe, a sponsor of the show, says: “I attended last year’s event and felt that the awards were well focused on our sector of the printing industry. This event is a great networking opportunity with industry leaders who are like-minded in their approach to the market in terms of sustainability and quality.”

2021 winners included Imageco, Grapefruit Graphics, and signbox

Despite being in just its second year, the awards have already become a respected event thanks to support from reputable brands and businesses, as well as associations such as FESPA UK.

“The response to us announcing our second event has been brilliant,” adds founder of the awards, Dan Tyler.
“We’re chuffed to have seen the entries coming in already and we’re expecting a tough contest this year as the industry celebrates a return to running at full steam and putting out its most creative work once again.”

Applications for nominees originally closed on July 1st, with tickets for the ceremony going on sale shortly after, but due to an influx in submissions The UK Graphics Awards has now extended the deadline to Friday July 15th.
