FESPA to launch Wrap Fest in the UK in 2023

The brand new event will debut at the legendary Silverstone circuit in Northamptonshire

Dedicated to vehicle wrapping, vinyl installation, and detailing, the live event will bring together professionals from across the various parts of the automotive, wrapping, livery and graphics industries.

Wrap Fest will invite racing teams, car detailing, and tinting businesses, as well as printers and sign-makers who wish to increase revenue created from vehicle wrapping and are active in architectural interiors and signage.

The two-day event will see a maximum of 36 wrappers compete in a series of timed competitions for the new UK & Ireland World Wrap Masters regional heat. The winner will then progress to the World Wrap Masters final at FESPA Global Print Expo 2023 in Munich, Germany.

Scheduled to take place from April 26th to 27th, 2023, the brand new event will also feature an exhibition, educational conference, hands-on training sessions and workshops, plus live entertainment, and food trucks.

Advertised as having a ‘festival vibe’ in order to reflect the colour and energy of the industry, Silverstone will be the perfect location considering its deep history in motorsport.

The location hosts a range of events, conferences, and exhibitions on top of its famous Formula 1 British Grand Prix and large MotoGP championship.

Duncan MacOwan, head of marketing and events at FESPA, says: “With Wrap Fest, we want to provide a hub that plugs wrappers and detailers into the latest trends, lets them see all the product innovations from multiple suppliers in one space, gives them access to workshops and demos to refresh their skills, and shows them the opportunities that could fuel their growth.”

Ole Solskin Ravn, head judge for the World Wrap Masters Series, adds: “The vehicle wrapping, and detailing market is thriving, and more professionals are specialising in or expanding into this market.

“There’s always something new to learn, too, and rarely the time to fit it in, so the chance to take part in hands-on training sessions at Wrap Fest will be a huge benefit.”

The event’s exhibition will take place in Halls 1 and 2 of the new Silverstone Wing, where visitors will see decorative and paint protection films, window tints, digital printing and laminating equipment, vinyl cutting and finishing, design software, cleaning products, plus tools and accessories.

Wrap Fest will also include live presentations and, demonstrations, plus interactive workshops, so visitors can learn even more about the craft.
