Five days to go until FESPA 2022

With only five days to go until the doors of Messe Berlin open to FESPA Global Print Expo and the European Sign Expo, we take a look at some of the features that will be on offer.

Running from Tuesday May 31st to Friday June 3rd, over 350 exhibitors are preparing to showcase new and existing kit, as well as meet with customers and colleagues in person.

Covering wide-format print, textile printing, and sign-making, the co-running show will have something for everyone and promise to address key topics such as sustainability and booming markets such as textile printing.

A new feature for 2022 is the Sustainability Spotlight which will offer insight and support for businesses on how to operate as greenly as possible. The feature will host 38 expert-led sessions all of which are free to attend with a FESPA and European Sign Expo ticket.

Also at the show will be the new Associations Pavilion in the South Entrance of the venue which will showcase the talent of FESPA’s international members including samples of screen- and digitally-printed products.

Located in the same spot, Printeriors is a returning and popular feature which offers visitors the chance to experience the possibilities of printed interior décor. A total of 30 partners have worked together to curate the feature with FESPA Textile Ambassador, Debbie McKeegan. There will be seven themed zones decorated with nature-inspired designs by illustrator Jasper Goodall.

Over 30 European wrappers will compete in the regional competition on Tuesday and Wednesday next week with the biggest ever final to date comprising of 12 finalists. The winner of the head-to-head final will be crowned World Wrap Master 2022.

Visitors with access to the Club FESPA Lounge benefit from free show entrance, fast track access, a dedicated cloakroom, WIFI, and refreshments. More information on how to access this can be found on the FESPA Global Print Expo 2022 website.

Michael Ryan, head of Global Print Expo, says: “As we mark FESPA’s 60th anniversary as a business support organisation for the visual communications sector, we are immensely proud of the role that FESPA Global Print Expo 2022 will play in helping our communities regroup and energise their business development plans.

The value of visiting a FESPA show is still the same, but all the more vital in 2022, as print and sign businesses worldwide regain momentum after the pandemic

“Over six decades, FESPA exhibitions have provided a place for the world’s speciality printers and sign-makers to plan their future, discovering new technologies and materials, tapping into market knowledge, and networking with like-minded entrepreneurs to explore the possibilities.”

Ryan adds: “The value of visiting a FESPA show is still the same, but all the more vital in 2022, as print and sign businesses worldwide regain momentum after the pandemic. I know that visitors to Berlin next week will leave inspired, invigorated, and with renewed confidence in a bright and successful future for their business.”

To celebrate its 60th anniversary, FESPA is hosting a party at Berlin’s BRICKS club on Thursday June 2nd. More information about tickets can also be found on the FESPA Global Print Expo website.

Covid regulations have been relaxed meaning visitors no longer need to show that they are vaccinated, recently recovered or have tested negative for COVID-19 to enter the exhibition. Organisers have assured attendees and exhibitors that enhanced cleaning regimes and prominent hand sanitising facilities will be in place across the co-running events.
