The latest appointments in sign

A string of recent appointments have demonstrated how the industry continues to stay resilient amidst challenges such as supply and raw material shortages, and issues with logistics.

The UK’s largest independent supplier of large-format digital printers, cutting equipment, and materials, CMYUK, has welcomed Steve Stokes to the team as senior digital sales consultant.

Stokes joins CMYUK from Ricoh where he was production print specialist for Central Repro Dept (CRP). Stokes has also held senior roles at EFI and Kodak.

“CMYUK has become the dominant supplier of digital printing, finishing equipment, and materials to the UK market sectors. Everyone within the business is knowledgeable and professional, and really enjoys their job, which is why the company has continued to flourish and grow.

“I’m really looking forward to joining a proactive and progressive company and can’t wait to sell the impressive range of cutting-edge digital production solutions.”

Also at CMYUK and Sarah Neate has been promoted to group marketing director from her former role of marketing manager.

Neate will continue to report to commercial director, Robin East, and the company says the appointment acknowledges Neate’s significant contribution to the development of the Group’s marketing infrastructure over the past five years.

“[Neate] is an exceptional consistent team leader, strategist, planner and project manager,” East comments, adding: “She has a tremendous skill set that has enabled her to integrate the latest CRM, multiple social media platforms and communications technology into highly effective marketing strategies.

“This in turn has created dynamic measurable growth opportunities in a number of existing and emerging marketplaces. Both Jon and I are delighted to welcome her to the senior team.”

Wide-format out-of-home (OOH) company, blowUP media has welcomed UK managing director, Simon Russell to the company’s Group Management Board.

Russell joins the board in the role of chief process innovation officer (CPIO) and will sit alongside chief commercial officer Ernst Vos, chief financial officer Nils Nerkamp, and chief executive officer Katrin Robertson.

Commenting on Russell’s appointment, the company says: “With his media knowledge, experience, and very broad business network, Simon has successfully grown and established blowUP media as an extremely well known and serious player in the OOH industry.

Over in the digital signage sphere and Uniguest has appointed Marc Berthiaume as chief information officer.

Reporting to recently appointed president and chief operations officer, Matt Goche, Berthiaume will define Uniguest’s global systems strategy. In addition to this, he will accelerate merging new acquisitions into the Group.

“Marc has a proven strong track record in this field, and I am delighted to welcome him to the team.”

And finally, signage consultancy Make it Happen has promoted account manager Katie Asken to a director of the company.

Asken has been working alongside founder and managing director Sam Armstrong since 2017.

Armstrong says: “I’m thrilled to let you know that Katie has been promoted to a director of the company. It is fair to say that without her I may never have got our training courses off the ground. She is incredibly hardworking, efficient, conscientious, and one of the most organised ladies I have ever met.

“She bosses me around in a way that ensures we achieve results for our clients; this was simply the best move in the future of the business.”
