Manor Signs makes green move with HP

Buckinghamshire-based signage solutions provider Manor Signs has purchased a new HP Latex R1000 Plus printer to support its plans to become a more sustainable business.

Purchased from approved HP distributor Papergraphics, the machine was installed at Manor Signs’ facility at the end of last year.

Manor Signs produces work such as home signage, glass and wall branding, vehicle wraps and banners, all of which typically have challenges in terms of environmental impact.

The HP Latex R1000 Plus runs on water-based HP Latex inks, meaning it has a lower impact on the environment than other print technologies such as solvent, eco-solvent and UV.

“Compared to other printers of a similar size and capability, the eco credentials of the HP Latex R1000 Plus are far more impressive,” says Gareth Craythornem director at Manor signs, adding: “Considering how impactful our field can be on the planet, this printer was easily the best option for us.

“Since being in use, and the positive feedback we have received so far, we expect to target the more environmentally focused customer, as well as further expand our new homes customer base.

“With the superior white ink option available with this printer, we also expect to focus on this side of manufacture to expand our production.

“It is all about giving the best option for our customer base, making sure we deliver print of the highest quality, while re-assuring our clients that their graphics have the least possible impact on the environment.”
