Signbox creates award-winning solutions

Provider of architectural sign solutions, Signbox, has recently celebrated its award success for work like its Pernod Ricard project.

The producer of interior and exterior signs, alongside solutions such as digital signage, bespoke installations, and environmental graphics has succeeded thanks to its technology, following a tough year.

The company walked away with four awards at the UK Graphics Awards back in September and has since reflected on the success. The business attributes the wins to the determination of its workforce and the flexible machines its team was able to work with.

Signbox’s awards for Branded Interiors Project of the Year, and the highly coveted Best in Show Award came from its collaboration with drink manufacturer Pernod Ricard.

The producer of famous drinks such as Beefeater Gin, Malibu, and Jacob’s Creek wine worked with Signbox when it moved to its new 85,000sq ft headquarters in West London.

Thanks to the HP Latex 300 Series printers Signbox was able to create a variety of effects for each room in the headquarters it worked on. The entire initiative included 3D lettering, signage, and beautiful wallpaper backdrops printed on Digimura wallcovering media.

The product was selected by Signbox for its environmental credentials and fire-retardant qualities.

Signbox managing director Mark Bartlett, says: “The HP Latex printers produce first-class quality print on any job we run, and this was no exception.

The creative prints were able to recreate the effect of whitewashed brick, and clever gold accent details

“The HP Latex inks conform so much better to Digimura than other inks; we don’t get the issue of ink sitting on the surface and it doesn’t crack. We’re also really happy with the colour gamut of the HP Latex. Even if you are running pieces from the same job on two different machines, the colours will always match.”

As testament to the company’s work over the past year it also walked away with the Wide-Format Print Company of the Year award (30+ Employees) and the Innovation Award at the UK Graphics Awards.

The awards and company’s success with the HP printers were all worthy rewards after a year of producing signage and graphics for the pandemic.

“The HP printers were absolute workhorses when we were supplying the social distancing graphics,” Bartlett adds.

“In fact, we produced so much that around 25% of our total turnover last year was social distancing work, and the majority of the printed vinyl went through the two HP Latex devices.”
