Welsh OOH company joins global organisation

The World Out of Home Organization (WOO) has brought in a variety of new companies as members of its association, including a company based in Wales.

As the only global out-of-home (OOH) association, the new members demonstrate WOO’s commitment to a worldwide collective with the latest partners located in Wales, Iceland, Malta, Canada, China, and Indonesia.

One of the members, Emerge Advertising has over 100 sites in South Wales making it Wales’s largest digital out-of-home (DOOH) media owner. The company which is based out of Llanelli, Carmarthenshire uses a range of classic and digital billboards in a range of different locations.

This latest recruitment means WOO has taken on 16 new members this year, leading the organisation to have “far more” members than 2019 which saw the organisation rebrand from “the global trade association”.

Out-of-home, with its strong digital element, has a great opportunity to challenge and even overtake traditional media like TV and print and by working together we can accelerate this game-changing opportunity

The association works to promote and enhance the OOH industry on behalf of their partners. Other members of the board include Ocean Outdoor, Clear Channel, and OUTFRONT Media.

Discussing the recent advancements of WOO, chief operating officer, Mark Flys, says: “The worldwide out of-home industry has come together in the pandemic and we’re delighted that so many companies are choosing to join WOO.
