Multi-year signage rollout continues at UNLV

A rollout of digital signage at the University of Nevada-Las Vegas (UNLV) is well underway. This includes the installation of custom interactive wayfinding systems, traditional digital signage, and meeting space solutions.

Digital signage software firm, Visix, has been providing signage spanning five departments at the university since 2013. The firm has also recently worked with UNLV to provide a consolidation strategy for providing a single-vendor network serving multiple departments.

The custom interactive wayfinding solutions created by Visix include maps and directions for specific areas of the university. To create a wayfinding experience that flows throughout four departments and the respective buildings, Visix developed a common user interface for the signage.

Adjacent to the Las Vegas Strip, the newly constructed William F. Harrah College of Hospitality is the latest building to be added to the network. It also is the first to receive Visix’s AxisTV Signage Suite digital signage platform.

We are working closely with the IT team to migrate various departments to new hardware and software, including Visix e-paper room signs and multi-output digital signage players for video walls

This software provides messages and information regarding the university’s upcoming events and activities to over 2300 students.

Amy Buchanan, sales manager for Visix says: “AxisTV Signage Suite software brings new benefits including robust video streaming support, improved content design tools, touch interactivity, and more efficient content creation workflows.

All departments at UNLV are in the process of transitioning from AxisTV digital signage software to the new AxisTV Signage Suite platform.
