Massivit 3D opens markets with large-format launch

Massivit 3D Printing Technologies has announced details of a new 3D printing system that it says will allow users to take in a wide range of large-format work.

Due to launch at the AMUG 2021 Conference in Florida next month, the new Massivit 5000 introduces new resolutions, materials and automation capabilities that Massivit 3D says address industry 4.0 requires.

The machine can produce complex, large parts up to 145cm x 111cm x 180cm that instantly cure during the printing process.

A new printing material in the form of Dimengel 110 facilitates high-definition printing and greater fidelity to CAD designs, while two new resolutions enable print optimisation according to layer thickness and speed requirements.

Other features include a Dual Material System that allows operators to print simultaneously with a different material on each head, while Massivit 3D says new software automation features allow users to improve workflow efficiencies and enable easy monitoring and operations.

Erez Zimerman, chief executive of Massivit 3D, comments “We are thrilled to bring to market this new additive manufacturing system that will empower manufacturers to overcome existing limitations in production speed, size, and complexity.

“It is a significant milestone on our roadmap towards transforming manufacturing of large parts across multiple industries.”
