Carousel Lights wins praise from Chancellor

Family-run neon signage specialist Carousel Lights has celebrated a double win at the Great British Entrepreneur Awards, a UK-wide initiative backed by Chancellor Rishi Sunak.

Carousel Lights’ founders, brother-and-sister duo Ben and Rebecca Reynolds, picked up both the ‘Creative Industries’ and ‘Family Business’ Entrepreneur of the Year awards for the South East region.

Work by Carousel Lights has been featured in a wide range of environments all around the world, including English Premier League football stadiums, hotels, bars, on-stage at concerts and inside high street shops.

In a message to finalists, Sunak paid tribute to all of the businesses that took part, praising their ability to remain strong during the novel coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic.

“Entrepreneurs are creating new businesses and adapting to the crisis, as seen in this year’s entries,” Sunak said, adding: “And that’s what we need to happen if we want our economy to bounce back.

“We need all of you to keep inventing, keep taking risks, keep creating new businesses. As Chancellor I celebrate, champion and support you.”

Reflecting on the win, Rebecca Reynolds comments: “We’re thrilled that Carousel Lights has been recognised for it’s pioneering work in the lighting and signage industry and for leading the way through a turbulent time for us all.

“We couldn’t have done this without our fantastic customers and suppliers and to have the recognition of the Chancellor is a real feather in our cap.”
