Flagship Primark shop given new look by Widd Signs

Leeds-headquartered sign company Widd Signs has completed a major project at retail giant Primark’s flagship store in Barcelona, Spain.

Widd Signs installed illuminated exterior and interior signage across a seven-week period at the shop, which sits at the heart of the famous Las Ramblas Boulevard.

The project included external Primark brand signage, as well as unique internal directional and departmental signage on each of the store’s five retail floors.

Over 50 different acrylic and aluminium-made signs were installed in total, comprising thousands of energy-saving LEDs and over 1km of wiring.

This particular project was special in so many ways

Gary Williams, managing director of Widd Signs, comments: “We’ve created and installed traditional and digital signage in over 150 Primark stores all across the world over the last 13 years now, and we’re proud to serve as one of their trusted suppliers.

“This particular project was special in so many ways. Their flagship store on Las Ramblas will be very popular in this cultural Spanish hub, and the scale and complexity of their signage requirements allowed us to once again showcase the breadth of our industry-leading capabilities.”

This was latest in a trio of projects Widd Signs has undertaken for Primark in Spain this year, with the company having also completed installations at stores in Sant Cugat del Vallès and Malaga.
