QPS praised for expertise and advice

Quality Print Services (QPS) recently put its knowledge and expertise of Nazdar inks to work in order to support a home cinema company.

In the search for a solution to create “perfect, smooth black” borders for its projection screens, Telford-based Pure Theatre called on the Nazdar supplier.

Chris Pettitt, managing director of Pure Theatre, explains that when deciding which method to use to create the borders on its screens, the firm decided to opt for the “high-tech” option of printing, compared to other methods such as spraying or welding.

To achieve this, an MT Refretonics 3.2m-wide UV digital inkjet printer was installed at its premises. However, the firm still found it difficult to achieve a consistent smooth black finish and called on the QPS team for advice.

Following the recommendation, we saw a huge improvement in our printed output and now are able to consistently print smooth black borders on our projector screens

Pettitt explains: “QPS immediately recommended Nazdar UV LED inks. On Chris Bailey’s advice, we also added some silicone heat pads to the header tanks which ensured we were able to maintain the temperature at a constant 40°C.

“Following the recommendation, we saw a huge improvement in our printed output and now are able to consistently print smooth black borders on our projector screens. I couldn’t recommend the team at QPS more highly; they offer really helpful advice and provide a brilliant support service, and we really appreciate their assistance.”
