R Booths cuts to the point with IGS Titanium 2516

Digital, wide-format and litho print business R Booths has invested in a new IGS Titanium 2516 cutting table in order to eliminate a finishing bottleneck arising from the installation of a Fuji Acuity UV flatbed printer.

The Cornwall company installed the new Fujifilm device in July of last year and has enjoyed an upturn in business as a result. However, this has put additional strain on its finishing process, leading the firm to taking on the new cutting kit.

Steve Booth, managing director of R Booths, says the Titanium 2516 offered the best price and performance match for the company’s requirements.

“The Fuji Acuity and IGS Titanium 2516 combination has enabled us to offer a varied range of products including short run and prototype packaging, point of sales displays, kiss-cut labels and even custom coffin lids,” he says.

I’m very pleased to see Booths are already enjoying the many benefits of moving to a Titanium cutter

Peter Flynn, managing director at IGS, adds: “Wide-format printing and digital cutting are a consultative process with our customers ensuring that the system we supply meets their requirements and future expansion.

“I’m very pleased to see Booths are already enjoying the many benefits of moving to a Titanium cutter.”
