AXYZ displays Trident’s power at The Print Show

AXYZ International used its presence at The Print Show 2017 to demonstrate its latest Trident machine, and explain to how the technology can help large-format graphics and print finishing specialists to boost their production capabilities.

Robert Marshall, vice-president market development at AXYZ, explains that by purchasing the latest Trident, users obviate the need to invest in two separate machines to carry out routing and cutting functions.

Marshall goes on to bill the Trident as a “hybrid production workhorse” adding that it is able to work with a wide range of materials.

“Trident has been developed to enable the processing of an increasingly diverse range of rigid and flexible materials that invariably require wider, deeper and longer routing/cutting capabilities,” Marshall says.

He continues: “These include, for example, aluminium and other non-ferrous metals, aluminium composite materials, acrylic, plastics and their derivatives, foamed and corrugated board, vinyl, cardboard and paper.

“Key design features of Trident include a rigid steel frame construction to accommodate more vigorous machine operation, an exclusive live vacuum deck that provides a maximum material hold-down capability and an integrated helical rack and pinion drive system.

“This latter feature ensures more even distribution of the workload and radically reduced machine wear, leading to higher routing/cutting precision and ultimately a longer than normal machine life.”
