Wagering on digital signage in Las Vegas

Known as the gambling capital of North America, Las Vegas can leave visitors out of pocket, but this was certainly not the case for DCBolt Productions during a recent major digital signage job in the Nevada city.

The firm was selected as the preferred provider to design, install, commission, manage and create custom content for digital signs at the Westgate Las Vegas Resort and Casino.

The project required more than 150 digital signage displays, including custom LED screens, 4K video walls, high-definition displays and various projections.

Working with Signagelive as the backbone, DCBolt presented a turnkey solution for the digital signage system, and delivered a content including wayfinding, restaurant menus, interactive social media display walls and custom eye candy, allowing guests to connect with the Westgate brand.

Detailing the project further, DCBolt says the network features 150 displays and four promotional broadcast channels that stream to each hotel room; four 3x1 and seven 2x1 configurations on the first floor; 10 digital board menus; 15 custom LED screens, and two 2x5 video walls in the lift bays.

We’ve worked with a wide range of digital signage platforms in the past, and Signagelive is now our preferred CMS thanks to its versatility, intuitive interface and robust features

Reflecting back on the project, Devin Wambolt, founder and chief executive of DCBolt, comments: “We’ve worked with a wide range of digital signage platforms in the past, and Signagelive is now our preferred CMS thanks to its versatility, intuitive interface and robust features.

“It was the obvious choice for Westgate because of its usability and scalability—from single menu screens to property-wide signage—it covers all the bases.

“Westgate has 33 properties to manage, each with different products, campaigns, promotions and events, so scalability was a key consideration. As an enterprise solution, Signagelive has been flawless.”
