Graphtec GB to unveil new technology

With competition fierce and margins continuing to remain fine in the UK sign and graphics industry, Graphtec GB has revealed that it will use the upcoming Sign and Digital UK exhibition to demonstrate its new FCX2000 series of flatbed plotter/cutters—designed to help sign-makers maintain a competitive edge.

“Key design features of the FCX2000 include a specially configured cutting head incorporating two tool holders, the first of which holds a knife and the second a creasing tool to enable a dual cutting and creasing capability,” explains Phil Kneale, managing director of Graphtec GB.

He adds: “There is also a USB port to enable offline operation and to allow files to be saved and retrieved remotely, and a barcode function that enables printed bar code and the relevant cutting data to be recalled from memory and cut.”

Graphtec GB will also demonstrate the latest i-Mark automatic digital die-cutter at the show, offering a cutting process that is carried out automatically to eliminate the need for users to buy expensive dies.
