Merchants of signage takes on MKM contract

It has put the R into Toys R Us, the P into Paddy Power, and even inserted the blue lamp into a sign for the Humberside constabulary.

Now Sovereign Signs has just constructed another piece of workmanship by fitting the nation's largest builders' merchants MKM with smart new signage at their 40th new store in Glasgow. Dubbing itself “My Kind of Merchant” MKM is the largest independent builders' merchant in the country. Sovereign is creating its illuminated flex-fascia signage, site directionals, safety, and internal POS signs for the Scottish store along with other branches in England this winter.

Incidentally the Glasgow store sits next to the new Sir Chris Hoy Velodrome created for the 2014 Commonwealth Games, which runs for eleven days from July 23rd to August 3rd

Incidentally the Glasgow store sits next to the new Sir Chris Hoy Velodrome created for the 2014 Commonwealth Games, which runs for eleven days from July 23rd to August 3rd. Some 10,000 people are expected to pass through the gates of the Velodrome and the Emirates Arena next door on the opening weekend, so MKM's new signs will be seen by more than those interested in paving slabs and new power drills.

Iain McKenzie, project manager at Hull-based Sovereign Signs says: “We’ve worked with MKM for a number of years and enjoy a very good relationship. They are a growing builders' merchant with a national reputation. We are certain the signs we provide will match up to the high standards MKM set for themselves.”
