Cinski victorious in Wrap Cup Master Series

Diversified technology firm 3M has named Piotra Cinski of Polish wrapping specialist Pentagraf as the winner of the FESPA Wrap Cup Masters Series Final 2013.

The firm, which was sponsoring the car wrapping initiative for the first time, welcomed competitors from around the world to the competition’s final at this year’s FESPA exhibition in London.

The FESPA event was a compilation of eight events that have taken place around the world over the last three years—culminating at the 2013 show in London.

Competitors were tasked with showcasing their vinyl mastery by wrapping four Mini Countryman cars using Controltac Graphic Film IJ180-10Cv3 and Car Wrap Film Series 1080 from 3M—options widely used for bespoke and colour-change vehicle graphics.

“This was a fantastic opportunity for car wrappers to demonstrate their skills and techniques using the finest quality graphic materials available,” enthuses 3M trade marketing manager, Richard Davies.

He adds: “3M has gained enormous traction in the vehicle wrapping market due its involvement with the NASCAR Wrap and Win campaign, sponsorship of events on behalf of high-profile companies like Monster Energy and Premier Sports and now the FESPA Wrap Cup Masters Series as part of an ongoing campaign to promote vehicle wrapping on a global scale.”

3M also had reason to celebrate itself recently when its Envision Print Wrap Film 480Cv3 won the award for ‘Best Environmental Substrate’ at the European Digital Press Awards (EDPA) 2013.

Part of the firm’s Envision range of more eco-friendly products, the film and its complementary glass wrap over-laminate 8548G claim to outperform other non-PVC films used in vehicle wrapping, as well as all wrapping films in terms of durability and conformability.

The product can be used for a range of applications such as commercial and private vehicle wrapping, in addition to boats, motorbikes, and textured walls.
