Supplied by Quality Print Services (QPS), the TrueVIS VG2-640 was brought in to replace a second-hand Roland VersaCAMM, under the VersaCAMM scrappage scheme.

Despite having only been installed at the beginning of June, Charles O’Brien, managing director at Source Signs, says the new device has had a big impact on the business, with the ability to now finish prints in just six hours.

“The TrueVIS VG2 is a similar platform to the VersaCAMM so it was easy to learn but has much quicker drying ink," O’Brien says, adding: “This faster turnaround has made a massive difference. We can provide a next-day service if the client needs it, and urgent work is very common in the construction industry.

“The VG2’s roll-up feature also means it takes up less space in the print room and keeps the graphics off the floor. But my favourite thing is the LED light – it’s a little design feature but it makes it much easier to see colour differences.”

Chris Bailey, managing director of QPS, adds: “The TrueVIS VG2 from Roland is a fantastic machine for print businesses who need to turn colour-accurate work around quickly, so it's the perfect fit for Source Signs.

“They have been a service customer of ours for several years, so we didn’t hesitate in recommending the VG2.”
