Edinburgh-based Mac Signs has paid tribute to the impact of its new TrueVIS SG2-540 from Roland DG, the first device of its kind to be installed in the UK.

The 54" TrueVIS SG2-540 was installed at Mac Signs in October of last year by Roland DG supplier Signmaster, and the company says it has already felt the benefits of its investment.

Available in three sizes, Roland DG says the machine features comprehensive media compatibility, low running costs and the same-day application promise of the new TR2 ink.

Kevin McCallion, founder of Mac Signs, says he has been impressed by the colour profiles and quality on the new machine, also highlighting the improvements to its integrated cutting capability.

Permanently fixed media guides mean the material is kept flat and channelled through the system quickly and smoothly – something McCallion describes as a “godsend”.

“The new TrueVIS should be working for the next five to seven years, by which time my sons will be taking a bigger role in the business,” he adds.
