Embrace Building Wraps oversaw the project which comprises a vinyl wrap measuring at 84.5m long and 11.55m high.

The outdoor art installation is the result of a collaboration between ocean conservation charity, Project Zero, Carnaby, and Shaftesbury, a property investment company which owns the Carnaby area.

The wrap itself features “never-before-seen” ocean-themed public art designed by musician Boy George, poet Billy Collins, and conceptual contemporary artists Mr. Brainwash, Bradley Theodore, Henry Hudson and Zaira Forman.

Carnaby is located at the centre of London’s famous West End and is made up of over 100 retail brands and 60 independent restaurants, cafes and bars.

Reflecting an ongoing priority of the Carnaby area, each piece of art featured on the installation addresses the environment and the impact it is having on the ocean.

Forman who is behind the ‘Whale Bay, Antarctica No.4’ piece, says: “I hope my drawings can facilitate a deeper understanding of the climate crisis, helping us find meaning and optimism in shifting landscapes.”

The building wrap will be on display until spring this year and the original artwork is on display in a Project Zero gallery on Marshall Street from January 22nd – 31st.
