Caroline Grimes is volunteering as a community responder for the NHS to help out during the coronavirus crisis

Grimes, who has been with Philips for four years, is hoping to raise £3,000 for the charity, and has already reached 50% of her target.

Aside from her role at Philips, Grimes is also a volunteer for the NHS, providing valuable support and assistance to her local community as a responder during the ongoing novel coronavirus (Covid-19) crisis.

Supporting the Winshill Neighbourhood Centre in Staffordshire, Grimes is part of a team of volunteers that collect, pack and deliver vital food parcels for people self-isolating and in need.

“At a time when we're all recognising the huge pressure that key workers, especially those caring for others, are under every single moment, I want to do all I can to make a difference,” Grimes says.

“During lockdown, I've been volunteering, giving my time to help those in need in my local community.

“I feel that our support needs to go further, though. So, I’ve decided to shave off my lovely golden locks for the Philips Professional Display Solutions UK charity of the year - the Rainbow Trust.”
