The awards saw the Signs Express franchisees come together in person for the first time in two years

Members of the Signs Express franchise, suppliers, and the Franchise Support Centre all attended the gala dinner and awards ceremony at The Genting Hotel, Birmingham.

Hosted by managing director Jonathan Bean, the awards covered topics such as Best Interior Sign which Signs Express Glasgow won for The Hanging Gantry.

Other awards included Best Exterior Sign which went to Signs Express Harlow for Plush; Best Vehicle Graphics which went to Signs Express Leeds for Rock of Ages; and Best Sign Project which was sponsored by SignElite and awarded to Signs Express Stoke.

Signs Express Glasgow also won the Most Striking Design award which was sponsored by Metamark for its Coldplay Music of the Spheres Tour work.

Following last year’s virtual event it was so refreshing to get together for the gala dinner and award ceremony. Being able to have meaningful conversations and engage with colleagues and suppliers is so valuable

Paul Morris of Signs Express Central Lancashire was also awarded the Employee of the Year, and Metamark won the Supplier of the Year award for the fifth consecutive year.

Also announced on the night were the Franchise Awards with Paul Glover at Signs Express Nottingham taking home the Franchisee of the Year award which was sponsored by HSBC UK.

Reflecting on the event, which was the first time in two years the Signs Express franchisees could come together in person, Bean says: “The Sign Awards are a fantastic opportunity to celebrate the projects completed around the network and I must say this year we have seen some incredible entries.

“Following last year’s virtual event it was so refreshing to get together for the gala dinner and award ceremony. Being able to have meaningful conversations and engage with colleagues and suppliers is so valuable, I can’t wait to hold more events over the course of the year.”
