The British Sign Awards have taken place at the Athena for the past three years

The first call for entries to this year’s awards will go out shortly, with the closing date for entries set for September 12th.

Ray Hirst, who created the Awards in 2013 and has run them ever since, says the Athena is now established as the home to the Awards and he is delighted to return this year.

“The British Sign Awards are now established as one of the premier events in the sign industry’s calendar and our experience over the past six years means that we have everything in place to continue to make them more successful and meaningful,” Hirst says.

“The Athena has been home to the Awards for the past three years and following last year’s fantastic event, which received universal acclaim from both sponsors and participants, we felt we should return to the venue which has provided such a fabulous backdrop to our celebration of UK sign-making.”
