Donated banners bring boost to toy library

A host of large scale banners have been produced by Hampshire Flag Company to help a children’s charity raise its profile

The banners have provided a much needed boost to Connors Toy Libraries

“This is a fantastic cause and it’s a privilege to be supporting such a worthwhile charity that's on our doorstep,” says Graham Wilkinson, Hampshire Flag’s managing director.

Connors Toy Libraries provides a toy library service and other community resources for children, their families and carers in and around the Portsmouth area.

The charity promotes better care and upbringing of children through therapeutic, educational and stimulating toys, and it called upon the services of the Waterlooville-based flag manufacturer when banners were required to advertise when the library sessions are taking place in venues across the city.

Hampshire Flag donated twelve digitally printed PVC banners, each 6 x 2ft, to Connors Toy Library.  The banners feature different information and they are now displayed outside each venue to attract the attention of passers-by.

Wilkinson continues: “Banners are a powerful promotional tool and an effective way to communicate. We are delighted to have played a part in helping Connors Toy Library and we hope the banners drum up greater awareness.”

Connors Toy Library also provides a child carer’s toy store, a mobile toy library to refuges and hostels in Portsmouth and toy resources for children with special needs.

“We have considered getting banners produced for a long time but were unable to raise the funds to do so. Hampshire Flag has been extremely generous in donating the twelve banners and they look absolutely brilliant in-situ,” explains Karen Drayton, advisor at Connors Toy Library.
