The Sign & Wrap Awards have shortlisted at large number of print, signage, and wrapping specialists

Nominees for The Sign & Wrap Awards have been announced after collecting nominations in the latter part of 2023. The awards ceremony celebrates the work done by sign businesses and individuals in the UK.

This year’s ceremony also celebrates work done by those in the wrapping community with awards for “out of the ordinary” projects, vehicle fleets, as well as architectural film projects.

The event is well placed alongside Printwear & Promotion LIVE! and Sign & Digital UK, two co-locating shows which are running between Sunday, February 25th and Tuesday, February 27th.

The Sign Awards debuted last year following a gap of industry awards especially within the signage community. This year will be the first year the ceremony will be known as The Sign & Wrap Awards, a reflection of the ever-evolving nature of the industry.

Speaking about the rebrand last year, founder of the awards, Dan Tyler, said: “We added a printed vehicle wrap to sister event the UK Graphic Awards last year. Having looked at the make-up of the entrants at both events, we’ve decided it makes sense to bring the wrap community together to celebrate their achievements with the sign-makers since there are a lot of crossovers there.

Companies shortlisted at this year’s awards include many new entrants such as Blaze Signs, NES Solutions, Sign Reload, Peach Design, Pearce Signs, Reade Signs, Apogee Print, dlinexsign, and Omega Signs.

Nominees for the Industry Champion award are Nicola Langston of DMA Signs; Patrick McGowan of Off the Wall Creative; Roy Cheesman of Reade Signs; and Matt Rutlidge of Signs Express.

Last year the award was won by Sam Armstrong, previous president of the UK International Sign Association (ISA-UK) and founder of Make it Happen Signage Consultancy.

The awards are also a chance for entire businesses to be recognised for their efforts in the two Signage Company of the Year awards (under 30 employees and over 30 employees categories).

The Under 30 category has shortlisted Apogee Print, Ellis Signs, Goodwin & Goodwin, Graffiti Design, Off the Wall Creative, and Peach Design.

The ceremony will also recognise young talent in the industry with the Young Signmaker award. This year’s nominees are Cartner McDonald from Off The Wall Creative, Chloe Huckle from Peach Design, Dillon Hollinger from Sign Reload, and Jonny Bentley from TCB Designs.
