The latest partnership comes after Hobs Repro’s green FSC accredited methods and investments

The Liverpool-based company which creates a range of reprographic, print, and design services has reinforced its sustainability goals by introducing the “you print one, we’ll plant one” initiative.

The PrintReleaf Exchange (PRX) is a patented software platform made to develop standards for measuring, offsetting, and verifying the successful reforestation of paper consumption.

Hobs Repro is one of the latest companies to partner with PrintReleaf in a bid to reach its environmental ambitions, after achieving ISO 14001 accreditation.

The company has recently made investments in technology, paper stocks, and inks to lower its environmental impact.

Hob’s partnership means PrintReleaf leverages the paper usage of Hobs and plants the equivalent amount of trees needed to reforest an area of geographic need.

Jordan Darragh, chief executive officer at PrintReleaf says: “Now more than ever customers are seeking new and innovative ways to be more mindful and sustainable in their operations and purchasing decisions, including printing.

This is such an exciting partnership and an opportunity that every client of Hobs can feel equally as proud that the work that we print on your behalf, is being a proactive help to the future of our planet.

“PrintReleaf is proud to partner with the Hobs Group to ensure their delivery of print management and commercial print for all of their customers is certifiably reforested and, as a result, lightening the impact on the environment now, and for future generations”

Engagement manager at Hobs, Raquel Perkins, has helped lead the charge in spreading the word about this new green partnership. She adds: “I worked with our creative design team to create environmentally conscious engagement packs, which detailed our partnership with PrintReleaf and included some eco-friendly goodies for our clients.”

To date, the company has helped plant 1,400 trees in Mexico, Madagascar, and Ireland, a huge step in the right direction when offsetting a company’s carbon footprint.

“Over the past 12 months we have updated our fleet for lower emission vehicles, as well as using bicycle couriers in some of our city locations,” says Hobs managing director Craig Horwood.

He adds: “This is such an exciting partnership and an opportunity that every client of Hobs can feel equally as proud that the work that we print on your behalf, is being a proactive help to the future of our planet.”
