Green graphics produced with HP

With a natural surroundings theme, HP has created wall graphics for the Clinical Research Facility at Liverpool’s Alder Hey in the Park Children’s Hospital, with healthy and sustainable printing at its core.

HP’s Latex 360 printer has been used to create a series of wall graphics for a children’s hospital

The project was completed in collaboration with BMG and Colour Create. The wall coverings were printed on a HP Latex 360 using HP PVC-free Durable Smooth Wall Paper.

The paper and inks used have many environmental certifications including UL Eco Logo and UL Greenguard Gold Certified, and the odourless displays meet AgBB criteria.
With HP’s water-based inks, we are able to reach new indoor spaces that solvent-based inks can’t, like healthcare

“With HP’s water-based inks, we are able to reach new indoor spaces that solvent-based inks can’t, like healthcare,” says Barry Hodgson, director of Colour Create, adding: “Working with a children’s hospital, providing prints that are clean, harmless and odourless is paramount, and our HP Latex technology provided us with this assurance.”

Amanda Rees, clinical research facility operational manager of Alder Hey Children’s NHS Foundation Trust, says the response so far has been extremely positive: “We are grateful to HP for their kind donation of these wall graphics. The prints were chosen by patients visiting the Clinical Research Facility and reflect the park land in which our hospital is located, bringing the outside in. We’ve had a fantastic reaction from patients, parents and staff to date.”
