Crystal Display Systems (CDS), a designer, distributor, and reseller of flat panel display solutions, has announced the acquisition of Craft Data Limited, a company with a 40-year-long history in the display industry.

Via the acquisition, CDS aims to elevate the experience of both Craft Data and CDS clients by combining resources, knowledge, and the passion both businesses have for the industry.

Craft Data was established in the early days of electronic displays becoming the representative/distributor for several Far East manufacturers of flat panel displays and thermal printers.

CDS provides solutions such as totems, kiosks, video walls, interactive and reception screens, as well as displays for hospitality and public transport.

Chris Bartram, managing director and chief executive officer for CDS, says: "We are incredibly excited about this new chapter. By integrating Craft Data's assets and expertise with CDS's robust infrastructure, we envision a synergy that will redefine industry standards.

"More than just a business decision, it's about carrying forward a legacy and building upon it."

Paul Tagg, former director of Craft Data, adds: “I am genuinely thrilled about this new venture with CDS. Over the years, we've built something truly special, and now, joining forces with such a forward-thinking organisation will only amplify our combined potential.

“I am confident that together, we will reach unparalleled heights and continue to serve our customers with greater innovation, dedication, and a wider product range and services. I'm excited for this next chapter and feel proud to be part of the CDS family."
