Clean bill of health for Visix AxisTV

Visix teamed up with the Jamestown Family Health Clinic in Washington in the US to deploy a new digital signage system, providing patients with consistent, real-time messaging on its services and protocols.

The digital signage system replaces handwritten notes and messages

Running on the AxisTV Signage Suite, the centrally managed system builds on the existing communications method, whereby staff had to manually post written notes in the facility’s waiting room.

The solution includes an AxisTV Manage Content Management System, the AxisTV Design desktop design app; and AxisTV Engage media player software, as well as a choice of Visix Nano or HDn media players.

Jamestown opted for Nano players, which support both wired and wireless networking, while cloud hosting, software support and maintenance, online support, and hardware replacement for the life of the subscription are also included.

Supporting the roll-out, the clinic installed two pairs of 50” video screens on opposite sides of the large lobby area, each displaying messaging on how to secure Covid-19 vaccinations and flu jabs.

Shelly Tweter, executive assistant of communications and medical staff services at the facility, comments: “Being able to quickly update information our patients need has made the staff’s job easier, and helped us deliver a better, more transparent experience to the people in our care.

“And visually it’s much cleaner and more reassuring than the paper signs we were taping to the wall.”
