Sharp says the new screen delivers resolution four times more than 4K Ultra HD and 16 times the resolution of full HD

The 8M-B120C is equipped with a 4sq m LCD panel using 33 million pixels that Sharp says can achieve resolution four times more than 4K Ultra HD and 16 times the resolution of full HD.

The screen also features a wide colour-gamut and optimised LED backlight, as well as High Dynamic Range that Sharp says further improves the depth of the image by increasing the contrast and colour range creating a more saturated and natural image.

The display delivers a brightness of 600cd/sq m and up to 1,000 cd/sq m at peak levels, working in tandem with local dimming of up to 2048 zones.

Peter Heins, senior product manager at Sharp, comments: “The latest addition to Sharp’s 8K ecosystem delivers our best-in-class 8K technology in the largest display ever introduced to the market.

“We are excited to continue to develop our 8K ecosystem to further support businesses that require ultimate image precision and clarity.”
