The Las Vegas Convention & Visitors Authority has installed its largest digital experience in the Las Vegas Convention Centre (LVCC), in the form of a video wall.

The installation took over a year to complete

Samsung Electronics America and Samsung SDS America partnered with the Authority to produce the immersive digital signage system which has been designed to create a high-quality visitor experience.

The 10,000sq ft 4.0mm pixel pitch LED video wall also provides a platform for promotions and marketing for trade show organisers and exhibitors.

Samsung won the bid to produce a solution for the Convention Centre and work began in March last year.

As economies enter a post-Covid-19 rebuilding phase, this transformation will position LVCC as a modern venue of the future as Las Vegas begins its tourism recovery efforts bringing the destination back to its full strength

The wall is finally complete and Samsung SDS America CEO, Sean Im, says: “This state-of-the-art facility cements LVCC’s position as top global destination for meetings, events and tradeshows, and now as the unrivalled venue-of-choice delivering a superior digital experience for exhibitors and attendees alike.

“As economies enter a post-Covid-19 rebuilding phase, this transformation will position LVCC as a modern venue of the future as Las Vegas begins its tourism recovery efforts bringing the destination back to its full strength.”

The installation itself was managed by Design Communications and included a content/device control, video wall mapping, mobile design, and interactive capabilities from the 22Miles CMS cross-platform.

Design Communications oversaw the installation

As well as the huge video wall in the West Hall’s atrium, Samsung also provided 14 overhead directional signs, three interior pylons, 16 interior digital touch screen 3D way finders, and 93 meeting room displays.

In addition to this, Samsung’s signage and 22Miles CMS and wayfinding solutions can also be found in the Convention Centre’s new transportation system where attendees are escorted around the campus in Teslas. The Convention Center Loop features over 125sq ft of 1.2mm pixel pitch LED signage.
