Clear Channel hits major Adshel Live milestone

Clear Channel UK has celebrated reaching a major milestone after installing the 2,500th Adshel Live panel in is digital-out-of-home (DOOH) network.

Roll out of the Adshel Live network began with the installation of the first screen in Cardiff in 2015

The panel, which has been installed at a location in Leicester, extends the UK’s largest DOOH network, capable of eight million impacts every day.

The Adshel Live network stretches from Aberdeen up in Scotland, down to Portsmouth on the English south coast, putting it within walking distance of more than 50,000 high street retailers.

A further 500 screens are due to be installed during the course of 2021.

Richard Bon, joint managing director of Clear Channel UK, comments: “Despite the uncertainty and challenges of the past 12 months, Adshel Live has been hugely resilient as a format.

“Thanks to its growing presence on local high streets as well as in larger city centres, it continued to be a vital broadcast medium for public service messaging and supporting local businesses.”

“Now, as we’re looking towards a spring and summer of dramatically reduced restrictions, and people are desperate to get back outside, Adshel Live is there stronger than ever and will undoubtedly become an icon for the renaissance of Out of Home.

“The timing of this landmark could not be better.”
