Clear Channel completes major London launch

Out-of-home (OOH) media specialist Clear Channel has expanded the presence of its Adshel Live network in London by rolling out eight new free-standing digital advertising units in Camden.

The launch extends Clear Channel's Adshel Live network, which it says is the UK's largest digital-out-of-home network

The double-sided sites, which replace former paper sites operated by JCDecaux, have been placed at key locations such as Shaftesbury Avenue and Tottenham Court Road.

The launch forms part of Clear Channel’s contract with the Local Authority in Camden, through which it has created the Camden Innovation Fund.

This pot of money will be invested into a programme of planting street trees and urban greening projects through partner charity Trees for Cities.

Similar investment funds are also in place in other areas across the UK, including in Harrow where dozens of street trees have been planted, along with urban orchards in local parks.

Clear Channel’s co-managing director Will Ramage comments: “We've overjoyed to see the new Camden sites being installed and to be commencing our partnership with the Local Authority.

“Not only will these be a welcome addition for advertisers big and small, but the public also directly benefit from revenues returned to the Local Authority and the investment of the Innovation Fund into real-world environmental and greening projects to bring real-world benefits.”
