The installation has given presenters and producers a greater range of broadcast tools

Swiss TV opted to install Philips’ HD Q-Line and X-Line videowall displays at its studios, with the aim of giving its presenters and productions teams a greater range of technology to work with during broadcasts.

The installation includes 24 x 49” Philips X-Line Videowalls, paired with three 86” Q-Line displays across two separate studios, and forms part of a major upgrade at La Télé.

TV production designer and architect, Franck Fellemann, local IT and solutions company, Informatique NEXAN SA, and integration specialist, Martix Resolution SA, supported Philips and La Télé with the project.

François Vittoz, IT director at La Télé, comments: “Our Philips displays enabled us to have two truly versatile studios capable of instant visual transformations in the most efficient way possible.”

Davide Longo, sales manager Switzerland at Philips, adds: “We’re delighted to have been able to support La Télé in this both exciting and challenging project, providing a truly transformational solution across its two busy TV studios.

“It’s another example of how far we have come over a relatively short period, with our displays increasingly becoming the brand of choice for many of Europe’s leading integration specialists and end-users alike for projects like this that demand quality and reliability.”
