The Epoch of digital kicks off at Carrow Road

As consumers continue to expect increasingly immersive and interactive experiences with digital signage, ADI has revealed details of the installation of its innovative Epoch screen at Norwich City Football Club’s Carrow Road.

The new Epoch screen from digital signage specialist ADI has been installed at Norwich City’s Carrow Road, creating a more inclusive experience for fans

A world-first for football, the 45sq m high resolution screen measuring a 400 diagonal inches can rotate between portrait and landscape in order to best accommodate different content, viewing game stats, line ups, news in a portrait format, and following action replays in a traditional landscape display.

ADI’s Geraint Williams comments: “For the majority of large sport venues, there is no single point at which a screen can be positioned so that it is visible from all sections of the stadium. Our new Epoch screens have the ability to rotate a full 360 degrees, meaning that it can be moved to face any stand in the stadium.

“This means that more fans are able to benefit from the big screen experience and the club’s commercial partners are able to reach a wider audience more effectively.”

The Epoch’s installation forms part of a larger digital renovation at the home of Norwich City, with the addition of a higher resolution Digi Board perimeter system and a new network of concourse and hospitality screens in a number of locations across the stadium.

Williams concludes: “We’re incredibly excited to launch our new Epoch screen range with Norwich City, which is the first football club in the world to install such a transformative display. Our business is about creating value for our customers – delivering fully formed solutions that drive revenue or enhance experience.

“We’re looking forward to working together to develop the platform for the benefit of fans and the club’s commercial partners.”
