FESPA 2018: ‘where print takes off’

FESPA has recently released its brand new visitor campaign — ‘Where Print Takes Off’, as the organisation looks forward to its 2018 show in Berlin, Germany. This year’s event has a particular focus on textile printing with its ever-increasing popularity.

Next year’s showcase will take place in May, and FESPA’s exhibition zone will play host to the largest textile zone in its history at the ten halls in Messe Berlin, which housed the show in 2007. This zone is dedicated to the growing interest from the industry in textile, décor, soft signage, and fashion. At the moment, textile printing is the main focus of two halls of the exhibition.

Roz Guarnori, divisional director, says: “Through the theme for the 2018 event we want to celebrate print’s rich potential to continue to evolve and develop new creative and functional capabilities. FESPA 2018 will be the place for print-service-providers (PSPs) and sign-makers to discover new ideas, inspiration, and products to help their businesses take off.”

Soft signage may be growing in popularity with printers, but the European Sign Expo will also be at the event, showcasing non-printed signage to visitors.

Guarnori continues: “At FESPA 2018 we will show PSPs the many opportunities available to enhance their output and increase business. From our visitor data we know that a lot of visitors to our shows are in search of new areas of diversification, supported by our 2015 Print Census findings, which highlighted that 45 percent of respondents investing in digital printing equipment are motivated to do so by the move into new markets with new products or services.
