The MTEX 1800 can print at speeds of up to 48sq m per hour

The firm specialises in high-end work mostly in the retail, automotive and events sectors, and had been keen to further expand its service offering.

Mark Bradley, managing director of the company, says the new device will allow DIS to take on other types of work and access additional business.

“We pride ourselves on offering bespoke complete solutions, and that means being able to offer reliable, consistent printing across a range of applications and media, including high end graphic solutions such as retail lightboxes,” Bradley says.

“The quality of print from the MTEX—the depth of the blacks as well as the consistency and vibrancy of colour—made it a winner for us.

“But quality is no good without productivity in the commercial world—you can’t have a machine that will print just four perfect flags a day when you have an order for hundreds.

“The MTEX delivers on every level, including speed, reliability and colour matching, offering us a competitive edge.”

The 1.8m MTEX 1800, which will sit in 14,000sq ft production facility, offers print quality of 1440dpi at speeds of up to 48sq m per hour.

“Gone are the days when the money you spent meant your graphics had to last forever—the print capabilities of the MTEX now match the key qualities needed to succeed in the promotional world—speed, quality and a step ahead of the competition,” Bradley adds.
