Fedrigoni celebrates NHS heroes

Paper manufacturer Fedrigoni has relaunched its ‘19 Artists versus Covid-19’ initiative to help raise additional funds for the NHS, as the UK health service continues to feel the pressure of the pandemic.

Álvaro López, a London-based Spanish graphic designer, originally proposed the idea

Initially launched in May last year, the campaign saw Fedrigoni collaborate with 19 artists to design a series of limited edition posters, which were then printed by PUSH London and sold.

Each artist was asked to design an A1 poster based around the pandemic, with the core message to promote staying at home and social distancing.

Funds raised from the latest round of sales will again be sent to NHS Charities Together, a federation of 250 charitable organisations that support the NHS.

Ambra Fridegotto from Fedrigoni comments: “While each poster is unique, they come together to convey the range of emotions that people are continuing to experience almost a year on from the start of the pandemic.

“As the NHS struggles to cope with the rising number of cases, we wanted to re-launch this initiative to encourage more donations to those working tirelessly to protect us.”

The posters have been printed one sided on a Heidelberg Speedmaster by PUSH London, as well as embossed with the Fedrigoni shield and hand numbered. The choice of paper was based around the Fedrigoni Plus collection.
