Design and print agency FYI has been helping build a feed-good mood across its native Yorkshire by printing a range of banners paying tribute to key workers.

FYI has raised more than £7,500 for charity through the project

The #Postersforthepeople project has seen the company work with local art movement In Good Company and a number of artists, including Anthony Burrill and Rebecca Strickland Illustration.

FYI, which built a webshop to sell the designs as banners to the public, printed the applications on its new Oce Colorado 1650.

Such has been the success of the initiative that FYI has been able to sell banners to customers around the world, including in Italy, Canada, the US, Sweden and New Zealand.

Money raised from sales went to charity, with £7,500 raised so far, benefitting charities including St Luke’s Hospice, ARTfelt, NHS Charities Together and The Trussell Trust.

For me personally, it was amazing to be involved in something so positive in such a negative time

FYI director Tom Buxey says: “For me personally, it was amazing to be involved in something so positive in such a negative time.

“The news was all doom and gloom, and we didn’t have as much work with many of our customer’s industries being closed, so it was great to work with In Good Company and use our resources to create something positive.

“The feedback has been amazing but most importantly we’ve had messages from NHS workers and other frontline staff saying how much seeing the banners has meant to them.”
