The giant trade fair that is Drupa, dominating eleven days on the calendar this summer, has ended.

The giant trade fair that is Drupa, dominating eleven days on the calendar this summer, has ended. Although predominately a show for those in print industry, there was plenty on offer for sign-makers too. From colour management software to a plethora of wide-format equipment from a whole host of leading manufacturers, the opportunities for sign-makers to give their own business a boost through Drupa were invaluable.

The timing of the publication of this issue of SignLink is also an interesting one as, just one day before the EU Referendum, there will be millions of people across the country having a serious think about what they want for the future of the country, as well as their own lives.

If, like I am sure many of us are, a little bit uncertain about how this important decision will affect the sign and wide-format industries, Harry Mottram discusses all of the key issues in our Business Oracle section (page 38). Coming to the realisation that many business leaders in the UK, from sectors such as retail, banking, and security, are customers of UK sign and print companies, we consider the change from both angles. Experts from leading exhibitions and trade associations also weigh in on the discussion and share details of how the end result will affect their own businesses.

As well as topical political analysis, we have a series of features to give sign-makers ideas about how to diversify and make the most of the exciting technology on the market.
