Signmaster Systems can now offer the end-user both extraordinary solutions, ensuring that whatever the customer’s needs or however they are looking to progress their business, we have a solution for them.

Packed with advanced features, the M64s has excelled in the UK market by becoming recognised as the machine that does not make compromises, offering ease-of-use, productivity, low ink costs, and impressive quality at speed. The E64s is certainly going to be popular for people looking to get into wide-format printing and at the same time is perfect for companies looking for a cost-effective way to add higher production to their business.

Flexible systems

Steve Pridham, UV flatbed sales manager, Spandex

It is positive to see that there is now a huge range of platforms available, in the direct-to-substrate (DTS) printer market today. The benefits of DTS are clear—a reduction in manufacturing costs, greater production efficiency, and extreme application diversity.

In an industry where new applications are constantly being conceived and markets are compressing, everyone will want to print everything and why not? It certainly no longer follows that the market you are in is the market you will stay in and so the question is not if you should invest but where you should invest.

As a dedicated manufacturer of UV flatbed printers, Swiss Q Print offers high end solutions in UV flatbed technology for graphic producers who are looking for either higher quality ‘consistent’ prints, increased production or simply greater diversity—or all three.

The question is not if you should invest but where you should invest

Given this context, I believe that, Swiss Q Print responds to the market’s needs extremely well by focusing on designing and building the most flexible reliable systems, which offer extreme ease of use and long service life to enable graphic producers to print high quality prints on a range of substrates of their choice—all this backed up by an equally reliable distributor network.

I have visited the manufacturing plant in Switzerland several times and I see that the Swiss’ long standing culture of neutrality—meaning you need to please everyone all the time—and world class engineering with an acute eye for detail are reflected in how Swiss Q Print design and build their machines. Their effort of building world class print systems consistently for such a fluid market is remarkable.

Spandex is the exclusive reseller for Swiss Q Print in the UK, Belgium, Holland, Switzerland, and Eastern Europe. Spandex always aims to sell the best products and to offer aspirational solutions that will help our customers grow their business.

Expanding business

Phil McMullin, UK sales manager pro graphics, Epson

Having recently exhibited at The Print Show in Birmingham, Colourbyte, one of our major UK suppliers, has been inundated with requests for wide-format technology, and this is no real surprise, given how popular this area of the market is. Colourbyte is getting interest from not only the traditional sign-making market, but also from commercial print companies that are looking to move into wide-format print.

Colourbyte stocks a wide range of solutions from Epson, including the Sure Color F-Series dye sublimation and textile print machines. Models in this range include the 44" Sure Color F6200, the 64" Sure Color F7200, and 64" Sure Color F9200.

Epson and Colourbyte showed off the F-Series to visitors at The Print Show in October, alongside a number of others that we offer. We have seen a high level of demand for the Sure Color SC-S Series 64" eco-solvent printers, which offer a cost-effective way to create applications such as signage, high-end displays, and décor on various substrates.

For companies in the point-of-sale and graphics areas of the market, Colourbyte also stocks our Sure Color SC-T Series high-speed, four-colour printers, which combine Epson’s Precision Core TFP print heads and Ultra Chrome XD pigment ink. We also offer the SC-T5200D MFP 36" model, complete with scanner.

Elsewhere, the Sure Color SC-P7000 24" large-format printer/proofer boasts Ultra Chrome HDX ten-colour pigment inks, which are capable of producing highly accurate colours and, when used with Colourbyte proofing media, comply with all FOGRA 51/52 standards.

We only anticipate demand for these machines to increase as we move into the New Year, with many customers and potential clients having stated their desire to expand their business.
