AAG adds to cutting and routing tools range

Supplier, AAG, has added two new products to its special-purpose routing/cutting range through its CNCShop e-commerce division.

The division features a range of different versions of the latest solid carbide ‘0’ series of single-flute spiral tools manufactured by Amana.

AAG comments: “These tools have been designed to accommodate applications where standard spiral tools may not be as effective in terms of cut quality and tool life expectancy.”

The tools are available in multiple sizes, configurations and routing/cutting depth options and the ‘0’ series features a propriety carbide coating system for protection against damage to the tool. Such damage can be caused by abrasion, erosion, galling, and fretting.

Through this technology, the cut produced by the spiral tools remain sharp and offer a “superior mirror surface finish” on any materials processed.

AAG continues: “The Amana ‘O’ series of tools will process a wide range of disparate materials. Typically, these include aluminium and aluminium composites (ACM), non-ferrous metals such as stainless steel, alloys like brass, bronze and copper and foamed and corrugated board.”

Other tools available through AAG’s CNCShop division are a marathon compression tool for solid and particle woods, a diamond cutting tool for acrylic and plastics, and a long reach tool for the processing of foam and other soft materials.
