More and more consumers are beginning to take not of their environmental impact and in turn are looking to companies to offer sustainable solutions.
CMYUK has a sustainable PVC-free materials portfolio that can enable sign-makers and print-service-providers to achieve striking and high quality designs without impacting the environment.
The UPRINT PVC and plasticiser-free self-adhesives are available in either matt or gloss with grey permanent or removable adhesive. In addition to this, users can use an airflow liner with integrated channels for removing air bubbles during installation.
UTACK is a self-adhesive range ideal for décor, display and signage applications and includes PVC-free film and textiles for both high and low tack “repositionable functionality”.
Another solution is UDECO which is a sustainable sourced material for décor applications which is described as providing “a springboard base for inspirational design and exceptional wall décor”.

CMYUK also supplies the PVC-free Kavalan range produced by TAYA Groups. This substrate option provides an alternative to traditional PVC banner material and is available in widths of 1.6m, 3.2m, or 5m.
As well as being an environmental alternative to PVC banner material, the Kavalan range can be incinerated safely. According to CMYUK, emissions created during this process are “hundreds of times” lower than that of PVC banner.
Another benefit of Kavalan is that due to it weighing up to 50% less than PVC, it is also possible that it could reduce carbon emissions during transportation.
The final product in CMYUK’s portfolio is the German-made PONGS textiles. These textiles consist of recyclable polyester-based materials for use across a range of applications including textile architecture, exhibitions and displays, and retail.
