The two companies entered into an agreement in 2015 and as a result, Spandex Benelux became a distributor of swissQprint’s range of UV flat-bed printers.
In a statement, swissQprint cites the ongoing development of the company as having taken a different turn from the sign and graphic market into adjacent markets such as packaging and specialist print and industrial applications.
As a result of what the company calls a “change in focus”, swissQprint has decided to supply equipment, provide support, and consumables itself rather than through an external distributor.
Michaël Buvens general manager of Spandex Benelux, comments: “Being the exclusive distributor of such an innovative product range has really helped Spandex expand into new markets, but all good things must come to an end and we wish swissQprint continued success in the Benelux.”
Moving forward, Jacques Orobitg, key account manager at swissQprint adds: “We intend to focus activities in the in the Benelux and to further expand our services.”
