Dual-coloured signs light the way

Contra Vision has unveiled a new day and night solution for outdoor signs. The product called Contra Vision Performance is designed for dual-colour back-lit signage and uses a 20% transparent black perforated film.

The sign option has already been used successfully in places such as the US but has also made its way to Northern Ireland where it was recently used on the Carryduff Community Church.

The installation was completed by Rainbow Signs and Maintenance and meant the church sign could be seen in both the day and night, in two different ways.

Lead pastor of the Community Church, Gavin, says: “We love the sign and have had a number of very positive remarks about it from the general public as well as the folks who attend the church.”

The transparent film is applied to the outside of the sign letters to appear black during the day but when backlit at night, the sign will take on the colour of the translucent sign face used.

Contra Vision's dual-colour technology enables businesses to display coloured signage in the day, and a back-lit alternative at night

According to Contra Vision, the sign option gives out a higher light output at night than similar products on the market, making it more vibrant and eye-catching to passers-by.

Contra Vision also produces a white-on-black perforated window film that can display a coloured option during the day, which then switches to white during the night, showcasing the possibilities of transparent films and dual-coloured signs.
