FTC makes the cut with Brett Martin deal

Plastic sheets supplier Brett Martin has announced FTC (UK), manufacturer of the Trimalco portfolio of cutting equipment, as the latest addition to its approved partner programme.

The deal comes following a successful test on Brett Martin’s 3, 5 and 10mm Foamalux Light using the Athena 3 integrated cutting system and Apollo XL vertical cutter.

FTC now joins a number of other companies in the approved partner programme, through which Brett Martin works closely with cutting and printing machine manufacturers to test and showcase the capabilities of its semi-finished product portfolio.

Alex McLean, managing Ddrector of FTC, says he has worked with Foamalux for a number of years, saying it has always proved successful on Trimalco equipment.

Over the years, Foamalux’s consistency has always impressed me

“Over the years, Foamalux’s consistency has always impressed me,” he says, adding: “Some materials can vary from batch to batch but not Foamalux.

“When I am demonstrating Trimalco equipment to customers, I prefer to use Foamalux as it is proven to cut well on our equipment. The cut edge is of very high quality and the lack of swarf produced is a huge advantage in achieving good quality print.”

Simona Firth, semi-finished product manager at Brett Martin, adds: “Our approved partner programme is central to our product strategy. It is important for us to work alongside companies such as FTC, to keep in touch with how our products are processed and prove to the market that our products are compatible with the most popular cutting machines available.”
