Midwich pens global deal with Poly

Audio visual technology specialist Midwich Group has entered into a new, global distribution partnership with Poly, formerly Plantronics and Polycom.

The agreement has initially been designed to help Midwich meet demand for the Zoom Video Communications, Inc. platform, with interest in the solution having spiked in recent months.

The announcement coincides with the launch of a new ‘hardware-as-a-service’ programme, which Midwich says has been designed so that new and existing channel partners can offer the latest UC technology to customers, without the requirement for substantial upfront outlay.

Nick Tidd, vice president global partner organisation at Poly, says customers are facing an unprecedented challenge of navigating a world where the work ‘place’ is less important, and the new link-up with Midwich will help ease such matters.

The global pandemic has resulted in unprecedented financial constraints and a need to optimise communication is key for every organisation

“The partnership we have with Zoom, coupled with this impressive hardware-as-a-service model, enables our customers to not only connect from any location, but maintain productivity effectively,” Tidd says.

Stephen Fenby, group managing director at Midwich, comments: “The global pandemic has resulted in unprecedented financial constraints and a need to optimise communication is key for every organisation, through work-from-home, office or classroom UC solutions.

“The launch of the new hardware-as-a-service programme along with this exciting new global partnership with Poly, leaves us well positioned to offer the leading UC technology to our channel partners and their customers, without the substantial upfront costs.”
